Georgian Era (1780)
The Old Forge
The village blacksmith's forge operated from 1780 until 1965, serving as a vital hub for the agricultural community. The forge was responsible for shoeing horses, repairing farm equipment, and crafting iron gates and railings that can still be seen throughout the parish.
The original bellows and anvil are now preserved in the parish museum, and the building has been converted into a private residence while maintaining its distinctive architecture.
